Vietnam international Doan Van Hau will be paid around 450,000 euros per year gross at Dutch league club SC Heerenveen, according to Hanoi FC.
This means Hau will earn 37,500 euros per month.
The 20-year-old defender has been on loan by his club Hanoi FC to SC Heerenveen on a one-year term, with the Dutch club retaining a buy-out clause of 1.5 million euros after the contract ends.
If Hau officially signs with SC Heerenveen at the end of the season, he will become one of the most expensive players in the club’s history, after Mitchell van Bergen (3 million euros), Alen Halilovic (2 million euros), Chidera Ejuke (2 million euros) and Jens Odgaard (1.8 million euros), according to Transfermakt.
Hau has leave to play for Vietnam at the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines later this year. The tournament is not included in the FIFA system.
The Thai Binh-born defender is likely to have his first appearance in the Dutch league when SC Heerenveen take on Ajax Amsterdam this Saturday.
