By the newest information, Cong Phuong has rejected the invitation from Bosnia’s football club to find new challenges in Ligue II - the Second Division of France with another team.
On June 24, Cong Phuong sets to travel to France to undergo a trial in a French football club playing at Ligue II. According to Sport5 sources, Clermont Foot has confirmed that Cong Phuong will weigh up a move to France.
“We can confirm that the information is correct and Clermont Foot 63 was interested in having Nguyen Cong Phuong to come to Clermont for a try-out at the end of June-July,” Jerome Champagne confirmed through an email.
This is not the only call Cong Phuong has received. Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam revealed that the former Incheon United player has declined the call of the football club Mr. Hoai Nam is seating on as a president chair:
“After a lot of efforts, the invitation to ask Cong Phuong for joining Sarajevo to attend Champions League was rejected by Vietnam side as they already have their option which is a French Ligue II football club.” Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam stated
Mr. Hoai Nam is the owner of Sarajevo and also the member of K.V Kortrijk FC’s Board of management, the team is asserting themselves in the highest-level tournament of the country.
